What up all Trent here...
Ok they got us... finally. So camp is over, it was an awesome time. By the way, we love all you counselors and campers. We all went out to the Marion Resivour to relax, and when we returned, low and behold the girls had a prank waiting for us... our living room, tiolet papered, how original. Well done. We would just like to thank the girls for the good natured fun and for giving us more tiolet paper, and another opportunity to prank them without overdoing it. Touche.

Hey everyone! This week in the M.B. Southern District Jr. Camp at Tabor and i268 is leading worship for 320 4th-6th grade kids plus around 50 couselors and staff. It has been awesome to see the excitement and energy they have every session, even after a long, hot day. It's been exhasting to say the least to keep up w/ these pumped up kids, but God has given us the energy when we need it. I was told that 6 kids accepted Christ in the first 24 hours of the camp! It's amazing to be a part of God's work in the hearts of these young men and women.
Please pray for these kids that they will be open to what God has for them in the remaining 3 days. Also remmber Wendell Loewen as he speaks, and all the couselors as they pour they're hearts into they're kids. Jarod, Dave, Toby, Trent, and Bri are pulling double duty as couselors and band members so keep them in your prayers night and day. Thank you all!!!

Hey all, I decided it was about time I got on this thing and wrote a little something. I just want all of you i268 fans to know that we girls are not defeated by the guy's pranks! Yes, the score may be 2-0, but you just wait!!! Our sweet revenge is coming. However, I must give them credit for clever and harmless pranks. Good job guys, my hat is off to you. But don't get too cocky.
Later, Danae

Good Afternoon everybody!!!! Hey we are chilling out watching the USA in World Cup Soccer action waiting patiently to go to Peabody, KS for a concert tonight. We are leaving at 4:30 PM. We don't quite know what to expect there tonight, so we are looking forward to a fun time. Jason said that there have been a couple bands there the last few weekends, so we are looking forward to more music than anything I think. We'll see. Hey, I have a prayer request for all of you. When we are not touring, I have a job driving trucks for a roofing company out of Newton and I worked Thurs. and Fri. this week and my back is not accustomed to it yet and so it is really giving me grief today, so I would appreciate some prayers for healing and strength. I would be very foolish to think that I could heal without His help. Thank you all so much. Oh yeah, and a very close friend of mine, Marilyn Regier from Grant, NE broke her elbow in the last few days and is unable to make it to her own niece's wedding today, so just pray that God would grant her healing and piece of mind. She is a pretty special lady to a lot of people. She and Leon are pretty much a second set of parents to me and have been very instrumental in my walk to the man I have become. Well, I will talk to you all later on tonight after Peabody, KS!!! Take care and God bless!!!

What up all, Trent here...
I just wanted to echo Bri's comments about our Youthville trip where God used us to touch the heart of a young man there. Let me tell you guys, of all the things about this group that are fun and rewarding and make me proud to be from Tabor, seeing God use us and Joanna especially to help lead a young man into the family takes the cake. I also want to really compliment Jeff at youthville for putting in the real ground work on this young man and for showing him Christ's love before we ever got there. So if you would just take five seconds out of reading this post and say a quick prayer for the newcomers to Christianity and for the staff at Youthville that they could plant more seeds I think that would help further the kingdom. Thanks.
later,
-Trent

God is good, all the time! All the time, God is good!

Last night we went to Youthville in Newton and did a program for their chapel service. It started out with the normal routine: Leaving the 'boro, eating at Wendy's, getting to Youthville and seeing the extremely tight space to which we had to work with, unloading all of our equipment, watch all that equipment look like it doubles because of the small space, run through a song, the youth then pile in, we run the program, then start to tear down. The norm for us 2 times a day.

But this time was different. While we were tearing down we were informed that a young man accepted Christ into his heart!!!!! It was so exciting!!! Our summer is no longer a waste (not that it was to start with) But knowing that at least one person now knows the Lord personally because of what God did through us makes what we do a whole lot more worth it!

We are now in preparation for Jr. Camp here at Tabor. As we discussed things with Kim last night at Applebee's it got me extra excited! There's a lot of work to do, but I'm so ready for it to come!!! yay! Keep us all in your prayers, the total exhaustion has passed, but after next week I'm sure it will return! God bless all!

Good afternoon everybody!!!! How is your Monday going? Today, we had our first official day off from any and all responsibility. It was extremely nice to have. We have had basically 8 performances in the last 8 days in 7 different places. It has been CRAZY!!!! But we have had an absolute blast though! Last night we went to Zoar Mennonite Brethren Church in Inman, KS. We got there at like 4:30 pm and set up and then ate supper with a lot of their High School youth and then away we went. We had so much fun! It is totally amazing getting to enjoy yourself and serve Christ at the same time!! We also had a speed teardown session. We tore down all of our equipment from start to locking the trailer in right at 21 minutes. We were smoking right along!!! It was cool but exhausting. The people at Zoar were very appreciative of the message that we brought and the way in which it was presented. Thank you Lord for your goodness and mercy to us in allowing Your word to be sent and received through us! You never cease to amaze me!!!

A passage that I have really loved here as of lately is found in 2 Corinthians 5:20-21. These verses are located in a group of passages where it talks about reconciliation; God reconciling us to Himself and us reconciling our differences with others. It says "We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making His appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God." That is very powerful. It is overflowing with God's love and desire for relationship with us. Am I doing everything in my power to love God and love others every day? I doubt that. Am I letting the 'sun go down' on my anger or on my resentment for another? I'll have to think about that.

Here are some more pictures; these are from Ebenfeld. They feed you well there. Also you can see a picture of the T-shirts we are selling this summer at all of our shows for $10.

Yo everybody, J Rich here!!! We just got back from Wichita! We left yesterday and went to the West E-Free Church to lead worship at a leadership conference. We did two half hour sets and an hour set of worship last night and then a half hour set each this morning and this afternoon. It was crazy fun!! When I first found out that there were only going to be like 16 students there, I was kinda bummed until I heard them sing. They were like singing it back at us louder than we were singing it at them!! It was pretty awesome. Thank you Lord for teaching me that small groups can sing too. This afternoon we packed up and headed down to southeast Wichita to Oaklawn and played a Community Concert Event at Lighthouse Community Church. We got there at like 4:30 and after Matt Penner (stellarly awesome pastor) came and unlocked the church we got all setup. We snagged some hot dogs as part of their community-wide BBQ and then we were on. They had an amazingly responsive crowd. They even requested that we play a song for them. We didn't have the words to it with us, but I think we winged it sufficiently enough for them!! We had a pretty rockin good time. Our bodies are all wearing thin though. We are starting to get a little more tired and easily bothered. Please pray for us that we would get good rest and would be strengthened in the spirit and NOT easily bothered or annoyed. We love all of our loyal fans and more importantly our fellow followers of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. May God be with you this weekend as you may get a breather from work or if you have to work harder. May He keep you safe, protected, guided and strong through His neverending grace, peace and mercy. God bless!!!

Hey all, this is Bri. It seems like things have been very rushed lately. We got back from CO, were home for less than 12 hours and left to go to Wichita for 2 days. During those 12 hours, we were working hard preparing for the leadership retreat that we lead worship for at my home church, West Evangelical Free Church. Overall, it was wonderful to be back with people I knew worshiping among them (as well as seeing my family, because I haven't been home as much as I would have liked. HI MOM!) Even though it was good to be home for a short while, exhaustion definitely kicked in. It seems like we will be going going going for the next several weeks with little time to recouporate. At the same time I am excited to see how God's going to work through each of us as well as in each of us. Prayers are continually appreciated. As of now, my bed is calling me, so I have decided to spend some quality time with it.

Here are some photos I took at Lifehouse Community Church in Oaklawn, KS, just south of Wichita.

You can find more of these here. It's a facebook photo album with all the pictures I took. I think this may work for you, though you may need a facebook account. Hope not.

Hello Internet, I come in peace. I don't really know what I am doing, but since I am by far the least musically-talented (I have none) I think I can add in a "unique" perspective. I usually do.
Anywho, I did not get to go to CO, so I am pumped that they have returned. I stayed home to work, but I did get the joy of being home when the mailman brought me my brand-new camcorder. You see, my role in this madness is video coordinator, so a bradn-new camcorder is really, really, really exciting. Really. So to all you who are coming to future i268 gigs, watch out for the behind the scenes crazyman that is Tobias.

Howdy all i268 lovers!!!! Jarod here. We are back from Colorado. I must say that it is a confirmed fact that we all miss it already. We had an absolute blast, but are all absolutely exhausted as well. Do you have any idea how amazing the spirit of God is? Well let me give you a clue. We didn't get booed off of the stage at any of the three places that we went!!! Actually, we didn't expect to, but God is still pretty amazing!!! Trent told you about the concert out at Silver Cliff Ranch for the Southern District Senior High Youth and told you rightly he did. We totally had a great time. We got out there a lot earlier than we really needed to and stayed really late, but enjoyed being able to rub elbows with the youth there and get to know them a bit. We had such a great time. I hope that they enjoyed us as much as we enjoyed them. We as a group were disussing how we thought it would be cool if we could be out there for the whole week. Maybe next year.

Last night was equally as awesome and amazing. A few of us ran errands yesterday afternoon while the rest flyered the neighborhood around Garden Park Church in downtown Denver. We were advertising for the VBS that will be held amongst a group of churches next week. We had a rockin time again. We played for an hour and twenty minutes straight. WOW, my fingers were hurtin when we were done!!!! Then we spread out to host homes and got some rest for the trip home.

For me, the cool thing about the trip that God showed me was how different churches in the conferences are. Like for instance my church back home does a lot of taking care of itself internally and service from members to members, but not so much service to the community as a congregation. The MB churches in Hillsboro can appear to be that way at times too. That is not a bad thing because the body of Christ has to take care of itself, but there definitely is a mission for the body to take the message out and serve others outside of itself and that is more of what I see in churches in the cities and especially inner city. The Garden Park Church in Denver has so many things that it is involved in as an act of sustaining the community. To me, it appeared to be an outwardly mobile body interested in giving no matter the cost to itself. God has definitely inspired vision within me for my future experiences in possibly church leadership and what the body of Christ is designated by God to do. I hope and pray that I will be faithful to God's call for me to do that when He shows me it is time. Thank You Lord for showing me the way...

What up all, Trent here. We just got finished playing for Southern District Sr. High Camp. We rocked that camp out. Congratulations to Taylor from Wichita the belly Flop contest winner. We're all pretty dead tired. Its been a full day due to the Whitewater rafting adventure we took this morning, and the concert...
well, I'm sure there will be more to write about this later, but we're all pretty tired and we still have another concert tomorrow in Denver, so here's to all of you who have been praying and supporting us. good night.

1:21 am Mountain Time:
Jarod, David, Kyle, and Trent just spent the last 19 minutes planning and launching a prank on our female companions. I must say it was a well devised and organized and executed plan as one takes into account the obvious and expected glitches in any such operation. Luckily we managed to duct tape the girls into bed and then wisely tied their doors shut as to avoid the expected retribution which is no doubt being planned as we speak. Thankfully we obtained video coverage of the attack and hope to soon release it to the wider public.
-Kyle gets the "Ingenious trapping mechanism award" In the rare concentration of ropes and knots... an impressive feat indeed.
-Dave receieves the "Captain Obvious Prize" for discovering the early flaws in the execution of the plan... good job Dave
- Jarod gets the recommendation of Valor and heart under the heat of battle... providing the much needed drive in the conflict
-Trent gets the Medal of Honor for planning and putting himself in the midst of danger.

100ft of duct tape - $5.00
Extraordinarily long (25ft) Jumprope - $7.00
One Flashlight - $9.99
Video Camera - $Who Cares, its Jason Mohn's
Footage of 1st prank, and the laughter of victory... priceless

-Suckers!

i268 in Colorado for First Events of Summer 2006!!!
Jarod - Well, here we are in the beautiful mountain town of Buena Vista, CO; hometown of Tabor College's very own Holly Still. The team left the 'Boro on Sat. morning, the 3rd, and I met them after my brother's wedding in Denver at the Belleview Community Church in the Littleton area. We were blessed to be able to be a part of the worship service Sunday morning, the 4th, with all of their beautiful people. We are totally stoked that a private personal friend of i268 who shall remane anonymous for the purposes of this blog has reserved wetsuits and time and a guide for the team to go white-water rafting in the morning. We are having a great time being together in the fellowship of the Father. Tonight, when we got to Buena Vista, we had a wonderful dinner at Quincy's and then came back to the host home and chilled. We broke out the guitars and basically had a jam session in the back yard for the local yocals. It was pretty rockin'!!! And Dave and me sat in the hot tub!!!

Trent - So I woke up in Colorado... I said to myself, "Self," I said, "this is pretty cool." I Love Denver. Tomorrow we'll be playing for the MB Sr. High Camp and I can't wait. This particular blog goes out to the little kid in the back row at Bellview Acres MB church in Littleton... you know the one who knew all the words to "He Reigns" and in every key excpet the one we were playing in... YOU ARE AWESOME Little guy! Keep up the singing, you really inspired me. hmmm, what else to write? Well, I think of more stuff and write agian later. See you on the road.

Bri- I've been to Colorado many times, mainly for youth trips with my church so we were constantly busy with some time of activity. I've never really had time to sit and meditate on the beauty that surrounded me. On our trip here I slept through one of my favorite things -- thunderstorms. I was rather dissappointed, but alas, not much further were the beautiful Rocky Mountains. As I spent time in the Word, I was reminded of God's glory and how big he is, but once we reached the mountains, it hit me even harder that the story we are living known as our lives are really not about us at all, but about the One who created us. We are here to worship Him, and to bring Him glory is all that we do. I'm excited to see how God is going to use us on this trip to further His kingdom. May it be all about Him!

Joanna - Alright.....so, Colorado so far has been eventful. From hanging out with these wonderful people, to hearing a cool kid at the Belleview belt out the song "He Reigns", and chillin' out on Sunday night at Holly's house in Buena Vista. AND I recieved a FREE GUITAR today!! It is amazing to see how God provides in unexpected ways. And the guitar was also a nice blue guitar! Thank you so much, gracious man from Belleview, that I cannot mention on here for giving me that beautiful blue guitar! Until next time..........peace out!

Kyle - Well, thanks to Jarod for attending his brother's wedding. Sure, most of us missed his bouyant personality on the van ride to CO, but I didn't: his absence allowed me to have a chance to drive. No really, I'm glad Jarod had his exciting opportunity, but I'm glad I got mine too. Driving through Denver with a 15 passenger van and a trailer is quite an experience. Not only that but I was following Clint Seibel's zippy little rental car...that was an experience in itself. Oh yeah, our trailer tire was getting pretty flat by the time we got to Denver. So, we got it changed out and found a screw in it. It looked like a kindof old screw so I guess someone didn't want it and that's why it was on the highway. Maybe it was a lucky screw that someone is missing and looking franticlly for....well it's ours now.

David - Thanks for reading. We will be sure to post later this week. God bless!
